Paul Edward Marks, Jr., 66, of North Huntingdon, was born on December 8, 1958, in Richmond, VA. He was the beloved son of Paul Edward Marks, Sr., and Rebecca (Curry) Marks.
Paul attended college at Howard University in Washington, D.C., and earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. At Howard, he met Rhonda, and they married in 1983. Paul’s first and only employer was First Energy, where he was employed as a project engineer for almost 41 years before retiring in 2023. Paul was a devoted church member of Bethel AME Church in Irwin before they closed. A former assistant scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 257 in Irwin, Paul devoted countless hours to service projects and mentoring. Paul was also the vice-president of the Historic Fairview Park board of directors.
Paul departed this life peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on April 23, 2025, at his residence in North Huntingdon, PA, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Edward Marks, Sr.
Paul is survived by his mother, Rebecca Curry Marks; loving spouse of 42 years, Rhonda Anderson Marks; son, Paul Edward (Sylicia) Marks, III; two granddaughters, Amira Marks, Eden Marks; sister, Paula (Edward) Williams; two brothers, Isaac Marks; Eric Marks; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
