Nancy Hood Obituary
Nancy Lee Hood, age 86, of West Elizabeth, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2026, at West Penn Hospital. A veteran of the Women’s Army Corps during the Vietnam War, she retired as a data coordinator at Hillman Library at the University of Pittsburgh. A graduate of Clairton High School, she was a former employee at the Joliet Army Ammunition and Procurement Agency in Joliet, IL and the IRS in Washington, D.C. Born July 31, 1940 in Floreffe, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Elsie (Lewis) Hood. She is survived by her sister, Judith A. (the late Robert B.) Anderson of Forward Twp.; nieces and nephews, Jeffrey, Donna and Kevin (Sarah) Anderson; and great-nieces and nephews, Joshua, Logan, Jaxton and Lia. No visitation is planned. A funeral service will be Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at 1 PM in the Round Hill Cemetery Chapel in Elizabeth Twp. with Pastor Dan Bach officiating.
