Mary E. Trimpey Shaw, 70, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at home. She was born July 17, 1955 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Charles and Thelma (Knox) Trimpey. Mary was a member of Ambassador Baptist Church in Pittsburgh and had worked in the housekeeping department at Redstone Highlands in Murrysville for many years. She was an avid gardener and loved growing flowers. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, William J. "Bill" Shaw; son, Jason Rybaski; siblings, Jean (Frank) Willard, Roger (Debbie) Trimpey, and Lois (Frank) Nemec; sister-in-law, Betty Jean Trimpey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Clifford Trimpey, Everett Trimpey, Lester Trimpey, and Ivan Trimpey. Friends are welcome Monday, June 8, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, Director. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mark Montgomery, officiating. Internment will follow at Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
