Geraldine Grace Rosser was born on December 10, 1951, in Clairton, Pennsylvania, to the union of Walter Rosser, Sr. and Grace (Puryear) Rosser. On August 28, 2025, an angel of mercy quietly led Geraldine from her earthly body into eternal peace, rest, and joy.
A lifelong resident of Clairton, Geraldine received her education in the Clairton school system. From a young age, Geraldine accepted Christ into her life. She was raised in Mt. Olive First Baptist Church, faithfully attending alongside her mother and siblings. As an adult, she continued to consider Mt. Olive her church home. Everyone who knew Geraldine knew she had a testimony. Life was not always easy for her, but she faced every trial and tribulation with strength and resilience that only she could embody. She never allowed life to defeat her. Instead, she rose above her circumstances—always with her infectious smile and unforgettable dimples.
Geraldine left this earth just as she lived: full of grace, joy, and love, having given everything, she had to those she held dear. When God called, she answered with peace in her heart. Geraldine had a heart as big as the love she gave.
Her greatest joys in life were her sons, Lamont Rosser and the late Demonje Rosser. There was no mistaking the bond between Geraldine and her boys—everyone knew she was their mother, and they were her pride and joy. She also played a vital and loving role in the lives of her nieces and nephews, becoming a surrogate mother to them all.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Rosser, Sr. and Grace (Puryear) Rosser; her youngest son Demonje Rosser; her brother Walter “Kink” Rosser, Jr. (Mary Ann Rosser); and her sister Toni Booker (Benjamin Booker).
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son Lamont Rosser; her devoted siblings Wallace Rosser (Marie Rosser) and Keith Rosser (Kimberly Rosser); her cherished Aunt Marva Roach; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loved ones who will forever carry her in their hearts.
Today, we celebrate the life of Geraldine Grace Rosser. Remember her as she was—joyful, feisty, and full of love. Do not mourn her in sorrow, but celebrate her spirit, her legacy, and the special place she holds in each of our hearts.
