Barbara Mowery, age 74, of McKeesport, died April 29, 2026, at AHN Forbes Hospital. Born April 10, 1952, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Pastore and Lottie Yednak and the wife of Leonard Mowery.
Barbara worked in housekeeping at the Riverside Health & Rehab Center for an impressive 25 years. Her compassion touched the lives of countless residents and staff alike. She was an avid fan of Hallmark movies, often escaping into the heartwarming tales of love and friendship. One of her greatest joys was riding on the back of her husband Leonard's motorcycle, where she felt the freedom of the open road and the closeness of their partnership. In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her daughter Kristy Mowery; sister-in-law, Linda; and brother-in-law, Kenny. In addition to her parents, she is also preceeded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Mowery; brother, Elmer; sister, Beverly "Bev"; and sister-in-law, Kathy.
Family and friends will be received at the Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 10 a.m in the funeral home chapel with burial at Round Hill Cemetery to follow.
