Janet E. Pishok, age 78, of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Pleasant Hills. She attended Denver University on an art scholarship. A former reservationist for Pan Am and T.W.A. Airlines, she was also a former secretary to Attorney Bob Baird in Clairton, former art teacher at Clairton High School, member of the Red Hat Society and volunteer at Jefferson Regional Medical Center and Mon Valley A.A. Born July 18, 1933 in Denver, CO, she was a daughter of the late Simeon and Emma (Frank) Kenyon and wife of the late James L. Pishok, who passed away on June 14, 1992. She is survived by a son, James W. (Vivian) Pishok of Carroll Township; sisters, Marilyn Ford of Houston, TX and Carol Asmus of Sutters Creek, CA; nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Cynthia Ann Pavelosky, who passed away on July 25, 2011 and sister, Betty Wilson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 8th at 10:00AM in Prince of Peace Church, 400 Old Clairton Road, Pleasant Hills, with Rev. Allyn K. Giuffre officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton.
