Loretta Mae Braum was born in Pittsburgh PA on April 3,1931 to William H. Braum Sr. and Loretta (Keeley) Braum and raised in Elizabeth, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents and her older siblings, William (Bill) Braum Jr. and Noreen Braum Kelly.
She attended a private girl’s school, St. Mary's in Chicago, IL. Loretta was a “pioneer” Telemarketer for the Guild of the Blind, using a rotary phone, for several years. She was the historian of the family, keeping all the dates of everything important that happened forefront in her memory . Loretta was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She moved to Tampa, Florida in 2000. For the last 10 years she resided at the Hudson Manor Assisted Living Facility on Davis Islands in Tampa where the nurses said they will miss her sense of humor.
Loretta has 11 nieces and nephews and was always best known to all of them as “Aunt Mae”. Thomas Braum (Marion), James Kelly (deceased), Michael Braum (Gail), Margaret (Braum) McKenna (Tony), Patricia (Kelly) Parker (Mike), Mary Ann (Braum) Sceiford (John), Nancy (Kelly) Nardo (Danny). Judi Kelly-Lewinski (Robert deceased), David Braum (Susan), Bill Braum (Janet), and John Braum. She also has 21 Grand nieces & nephews plus 29 Great-Grand nieces & nephews.
A Funeral Mass will take place at the church where she was baptized, St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Elizabeth PA on 10/29/22 at 9:30am. Following the Mass Loretta will be interned next to her parents and siblings at the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. PA.
